Utah State Hires Paul Jackson As Football Strength And Conditioning Coach

LOGAN, Utah – Utah State announced that they have hired Paul Jackson as the strength and conditioning coach for the football program under Blake Anderson.

Jackson has been a part of a strength and conditioning staff since 2007. He began his career as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for LSU from 2007-09 where he was a apart of the Tigers National Championship in 2007.

In 2010, he spent one season with Miami (Ohio) as the director of athletic conditioning for football. Then he moved on to Southern Mississippi as the head strength and conditioning coach for one year.
From 2012-19, Jackson was the head strength and conditioning coach for Ole Miss in the SEC before staying in the conference but going to South Carolina under Will Muschamp for the 2020 season.
During his career, Jackson has been a part of a BCS National Championship team, Chick-Fil-A Bowl in 2008 and the Capital One Bowl in 2010 with LSU. Then he was with Miami (Ohio) in the 2011 GoDaddy Bowl. With Southern Miss, they appeared in the 2011 Hawai’i Bowl. During his time at Ole Miss, the Rebels played in the BBVA Compass Bowl in 2012, Music City Bowl in 2013, Peach Bowl in 2014 and the Sugar Bowl in 2016.
Blake Anderson has hired most of his staff. Kyle Cefalo is the passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach. Former USU quarterback Chuckie Keeton will coach the running backs. Former Aggie D.J. Tialavea will coach the tight ends. Ephraim Branda is the defensive coordinator and safeties coach. Nick Paremski will serve as the special teams coordinator and outside linebackers coach. Mike Zuckerman will work with the inside linebackers and former USU standout Al Lapuaho will coach the defensive line.
The Aggies are set to begin spring ball in March.
