LOGAN, Utah- Selection Sunday is finally here, and after an exciting regular season campaign, the Utah State Aggies finished with a record of 25-6 and entered the Mountain West Tournament as the No. 3 seed.

The Aggies topped UNLV in the quarterfinals, avenging their January loss, but their Mountain West Tournament run ended in the semifinals with a loss to Colorado State, their second to the Rams in less than two weeks.

Despite not snagging the automatic bid, Utah State has built an NCAA Tournament-worthy resume since November and the Aggies are going dancing for the third year in a row, via an at-large bid.

The Utah State Aggies In The 2025 NCAA Tournament

The Utah State Aggies will be the No. 10 seed in the Midwest region and are headed out east to take on No. 7 UCLA in Lexington, Kentucky.

Recent March Madness History For The Utah State Aggies

This year will mark the Aggies’ fifth NCAA Tournament appearance since 2019 and will be their third three-year streak in program history.

In 2023, Utah State fell to San Diego State in the Mountain West Championship game but earned an at-large bid as a 10-seed in the South Region. The Aggies were eliminated in the opening round with a 76-65 loss to Missouri.

Last year in 2024, the Aggies were the No. 5 seed in the Mountain West Tournament, once again falling to San Diego State in the semifinals, but Utah State was part of an elite six-team group out of the conference who each earned a bid, setting a Mountain West record. Utah State was an 8-seed in the Midwest Region and was matched with TCU. The Aggies defeated the Horned Frogs 88-72, notching their first NCAA Tournament win since 2011.

History Between Utah State And UCLA

The Aggies and Bruins have met five times with UCLA winning each meeting. The last time these two teams matched up was in the NCAA Tournament in 2001, making this their first game in more than two decades.
