Cam Rising Meets His Clone And It’s The Best Thing You’ll See On Twitter Today

SALT LAKE CITY- Utah starting quarterback Cam Rising was a popular Halloween costume choice amongst Ute fans this year. One young fan in particular really nailed the look and got to meet his hero after the Utes’ big win over Arizona Saturday night at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

As you can see, the resemblance is uncanny.
Cam Rising Back In Action
Rising really surprised the college football world two weeks ago against Washington State when he opted not to play after warming up, instead sending backup Bryson Barnes in. The rest appears to have done Rising some good as he was back in action Saturday night against the Arizona Wildcats.
While not Rising’s biggest stat-line night ever, the team captain was good managing what turned out to be a wet, and sometimes sloppy game that the Utes still won handily 45-20. Rising finished the night 13 of 25 for 151 yards and one touchdown.
What particularly stood out about Rising’s performance was the trust in his guys to carry some of the weight he normally takes on due to still not being 100% and of course the weather.
Rising targeted five different receivers to get his 151 yards passing. Receiver Devaughn Vele was Rising’s primary catching target hauling in five passes for 57 yards. He also sought out receivers Jaylon Dixon and Money Parks along with running back Micah Bernard and tight end Thomas Yassmin.
One of the biggest strengths to Rising’s game is his ability to run, however, that was still very much limited in Saturday’s contest. Instead, eight different players helped to pick up some of what the quarterback can normally do on the ground, ultimately racking up 306 rushing yards.
Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham was happy to have one of his stars back out on the field against the Wildcats and anticipates Rising will take another step forward healing up ahead of hosting Stanford.
“Great to have him back,” Whittingham said. “Wasn’t as sharp as he usually is, but that will come. He’s still not completely 100%, but he’s very close. It was great to have him back in the lineup tonight.”
