SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Football has released every coach’s favorite songs, now it is our job to try and guess what song matches with the coach.
Match the song with the coach!
These are the favorite songs of our 11 coaches. Can you guess which song belongs with which coach?

As a fellow member of the Utah Football team, I feel as though I have a pretty good understanding of what music each coach prefers. For example, Kyle Whittingham selects his favorite songs during warmups prior to most practices, his go-to band is AC/DC. I must have heard Thunderstruck a thousand times over my four years spent on the hill.
Morgan Scalley may come across as a rather intimidating coach on the sideline, but do not be fooled. The light-hearted, soft natured Highland High School Alum loves the easy flowing listen of Isn’t She Lovely by the great Stevie Wonder.
Andy Ludwig and Fred Whittingham may seem very different to the naked eye, however, their music taste is very similar. My best guess is that Ludwig loves listening to Peaceful Easy Feeling while Whittingham is a fan of One Of These Nights, both songs by The Eagles.
Before Jim Harding joined the Utes, he was working as the offensive line coach at the University of Wyoming, which would liken him to Conway Twitty and his hit country song titled The Rose.
Humble and Kind by Tim McGraw has to be Colton Swan’s favorite song. Swan is a small-town, country lover individual at heart.
The two Polynesian coaches on the roster, Sione Pou’ha, and Lewis Powell enjoy music from their native islands. Which would explain Masese by Kapena and Oh Sweet Darling by Fiji. If I were to guess, Pou’ha prefers Masese, and Powell enjoys Oh Sweet Darling.
Sharrieff Shah was born on the outskirts of Los Angeles and has a love and passion for rap music, California Love by 2Pac Ft. Dr. Dre is certainly his favorite song.
Guy Holliday hails from Baltimore and is known to have his headphones blasting while working out. 2Pac originates from New York City, a fellow East Coast City, which would suggest that Holliday enjoys the song Nuthin But A G Thang by 2Pac Ft. Snoop Dog.
Lastly, that leaves Kiel McDonald who seems attached to Only The Good Die Young by Billy Joel. Granted, I was not playing when Coach McDonald was on the staff, which would explain why I have very little idea as to what his music taste is like. Sorry, coach.
