Hallandale Trio Scores All Three First Half Touchdowns For Utah

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – All three touchdowns for Utah in the first half came from the trio of offensive weapons from Hallandale High School in Florida with quarterback Tyler Huntley, running back Zack Moss and wide receiver Demari Simpkins against Northern Illinois.
After a tough start to the game with Utah punting the ball away on the first two drives, the Utes scored a touchdown in each of their last three drives in the first half.
Northern Illinois punted the ball on their first drive but scored a touchdown with an impressive front-flip into the end zone by quarterback Ross Bowers to cap their second offensive possession.

Utah turned things around on offense on their last three drives beginning with a 13-yard touchdown run on a jet sweep by Simpkins from 13-yards away to tie the game at 7.
NIU punted on their next two possessions while Utah found the end zone on their second straight drive with a 16-yard run into the end zone by Huntley.
Northern Illinois tied the game at 14 on a bad angle from Utah’s safety, which allowed wide receiver Spencer Tears to score a 74-yard touchdown.
Moss rumbled into the end zone on the third straight drive to retake the lead 21-14. After another big play allowed by Utah’s defense, Northern Illinois was forced to kick a 46-yard field to send the game into halftime with the Utes holding a 21-17 lead.
Huntley finished the first half by completing 8 of his 11 pass attempts for 140 yards and rushing one time for a touchdown. Moss had 60 yards on the ground in the first half to go with his one run into the end zone.
