Postponed To Wednesday, How To Watch Utah Basketball At No. 7 Houston

SALT LAKE CITY—The Runnin’ Utes are coming off of a 73-72 win over rival BYU. However, in the Big 12, there’s no rest for the weary, but Utah received an additional day to recover following a fierce rivalry game.
The Houston contest has been moved from Tuesday to Wednesday afternoon because of severe weather in the region.

Originally scheduled for a 6:00 pm (MST) Tuesday night tip, the game has been rescheduled due to extreme weather issues. Matt Pedersen will now have the call on ESPN+ alongside Reid Gettys with Austyn Iven reporting from the floor as the Runnin’ Utes go for first-ever win against Houston.

The back-and-forth battle between the bitter rivals led to another very competitive outing. Utah Athletics provided an in-depth video recap of the action from Utah’s 73-72 win over rival BYU.
Ezra Ausar’s special performance
Ausar finished with 26 points and 6 rebounds again BYU, who did not have many answers for him. In his last three games for Utah, the 6-foot-8 forward is averaging 18.3 points and 5.3 rebounds with a .667 shooting clip.

Ausar’s emergence has been much needed for the Utes. Veteran and leading scorer on the season, Gabe Madsen, has been a marked man for opponents in league play. Madsen has also found himself in a bit of a shooting funk, all of which has impacted his scoring ouput.
However, Ausar has stepped up his offensive production, which has been key to Utah’s recent success. With his emergence, perhaps that will take some of the spotlight off of Madsen, or lead others to easier scoring opportunities.
Utah is 3-3 in Big 12 play
After starting 0-3, Utah has won three straight and is tied for eighth in the conference with UCF. The Utes have clearly learned valuable lessons from those opening contests and have built positive habits over the last three games.
Not only did Utah extend their winstreak over BYU, the two teams that Utah previously knocked off also got back into the win column over the weekend.
TCU went on the road and beat Baylor in Waco, 74-71, on a Brendan Wenzel 3-pointer in the final seconds of the game. Oklahoma State also got back into the win column with a 10-point, 83-73, win over Colorado in Stillwater.
