Huntley, Penisini Named Pac-12 Players Of The Week

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Utes quarterback Tyler Huntley has been named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week and defensive tackle John Penisini has been named the Defensive Lineman of the Week.
Huntley earned his second Player of the Week honor this season and the third in his career, while Penisini was named Defensive Lineman of the Week for the first time in his career.
The duo played a crucial role in Utah’s 33-28 win on the road against the Washington Huskies on Saturday. Huntley threw for 284 yards and one touchdown, while completing 19 of his 24 pass attempts. He also had a rushing touchdown in the win.

Penisini tied his career high with 7 tackles, including a sack and a forced fumble.

Utah running back Zack Moss was also named the Rose Bowl Game Pac-12 Player of the Week and cornerback Jaylon Johnson received The Draft Network’s Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week.

Moss rushed for 100 yards and added 41 receiving yards and two total touchdowns. Johnson intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown.
Johnson was also nominated for Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week.
Utah has a bye this week before returning to Rice-Eccles Stadium next Saturday to face the UCLA Bruins at 6 p.m. on FOX.
