Kim Tessen’s 10.0 Vault Routine Lifts Utah Gymnastics Over Stanford

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Kim Tessen scored a perfect 10.0 on vault to lead Utah Gymnastics to a victory over the Stanford Cardinal.
The Utes hosted the Cardinal at the Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City on Friday, March 6.
Tessen’s routine helped Utah to a 197.750-196.725 win in the Friday night meet.

“Every time I walk out of the tunnel, I still get full body chills every time,” said Tessen after the meet. “It is still such a surreal feeling to me. I only have a couple more times to compete in front of this crowd and do the sport that I love. Before I went out tonight, I thought how it is an amazing opportunity and I am going to go out and do what I know how to do. When I landed, I just knew it was going to be big and it was amazing.”
Utah’s Cammy Hall scored a career-high 9.95 on her vault routine.

Utah’s Maile O’Keefe matched her career-high on bars with a score of 9.975.

Tessen followed up her vault routine with a 9.90 score the floor. The Red Rocks’ Adrienne Randall matched Tessen’s score.
