SALT LAKE CITY – It is National Signing Day for the non-revenue sports and the Utah Gymnastics team has added three five-star athletes as future Red Rocks in 2025.

The Utes aren’t just adding five-star talent to their roster, but some of the best of the best five-star talent available.

In 2025, Utah gymnastics will have the No. 1 overall gymnastics prospect on their roster as well as the No. 7 and No. 11 gymnastic talent.

Who Will Be Joining Utah Gymnastics In 2025?

“I am extremely grateful for our staff and their efforts in assembling this 2025 freshman class,” head coach Tom Farden said. “We are beyond excited about signing one of the finest classes in the history of Utah Gymnastics. These exceptional athletes come from standout clubs across North America and have the potential to make an immediate impact on our program. We are so excited to welcome these young women and their families to our Red Rock community.”

No. 1 Overall Prospect, Avery Neff

Not only is Avery Neff considered the No. 1 overall prospect for gymnastics in the class of 2025, but she is also a local, homegrown talent hailing from South Jordan, Utah.

Neff comes to Utah as a seven-time national champion. She also is coming off three national titles this past year- winning the all-around as well as individual beam, and floor titles at the Level 10 National Championship. Neff also finished as a runner-up on vault in 2023.

Additionally, Neff is a Nastia Liukin Cup champion on floor and vault, a two-time runner-up on bars, and three-time top-three finisher in the all-around.

Neff finished as the co-champion in the all-around at the 2023 Nastia Liukin Cup.

No. 7 Overall Prospect, Zoe Johnson

Zoe Johnson will be joining the Red Rocks all the way from Durham, North Carolina and has been rated the No. 7 overall gymnastics prospect for the 2025 class.

Johnson is a seven-time Region 8 champion and 15-time North Carolina state champion.

Johnson has won three consecutive Region 8 vault titles while finishing in the top-three of the all-around the past three regional competitions.

In 2022, Johnson was crowned bars champion at the Level 10 National Championship. While in 2022 and 2023, Johnson finished fourth overall in the all-around.

No. 11 Overall Prospect, Clara Raposo

Last, but certainly not least, Clara Raposo ranks as the No. 11 gymnastics prospect for the class of 2025 and will join the Utes from Toronto, Canada.

Raposo is a 2024 Paris Olympics hopeful for Team Canada.

Raposo is a five-time Canadian National Team member and was an alternate for Team Canada for the 2023 World Championships and Pan American Games.

Raposo placed sixth on beam and eighth in the all-around at the 2023 Canadian National Championships. She was also the beam champion at the Elite Canada competition and came in fourth in the all-around.
