Three-Star Receiver Perrion Williams Has Committed To Utah Football

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utes pick up their second commitment of the weekend, as Archbishop Riordan three-star receiver Perrion Williams announced his pledge to Kyle Whittingham’s Utah football program.
He is part of the final group of official visitors who are wrapping up their visits this weekend and becomes Utah’s eighth commit of the class.

Receiver Perrion Williams commits to Utah football
Over the past two seasons, Williams has played in 25 games and hauled in 95 catches for 1,312 yards and 16 touchdowns.
He’s earned a three-star 87-rating as an ATH but committed to Utah as a receiver. With programs like Minnesota, Oregon State, and Washington State involved, Utah has long been viewed as the favorite to land him.
Coach Micah Simon has done a great job of recruiting Williams. He made him a priority as soon as he got involved in his recruitment. Now, with the official visit in the books, Williams has given him his pledge.
Williams was part of the group that included five-star OT Felix Ojo, four-star WRs Jaron & Kennan Pula, three-star DB Aisa Galea’i, three-star DB Dylan Waters, and three-star OL Rowdy Pearce.
He becomes Utah’s eighth commit of the class, joining running back LaMarcus Bell, edge Prestion Pitts, quarterback Michael Johnson, linebacker LaGary Mitchell, cornerback Major Hinchen, safety Carter Stewart, and tight end Bear Fisher.
How does Perrion Williams fit with Utah football?
At his size, 6-foot, 163 pounds, Williams is a dynamic fit for the slot receiver position. He can be utilized in several different ways, including the run game. All in all, Williams is a really promising fit in Jason Beck’s offense.
What jumps out is his impressive athleticism and big-play ability. While he has some areas to improve, like his consistency in catching and physicality, his potential as a dynamic playmaker is evident.
He’s a threat at all three levels of the field. He has the speed to get vertical and run by defenders. He excels at creating separation with his speed and quickness in short and intermediate routes. He also possesses the playmaking ability with the ball in his hands to be used in screens.
