Stanford QB Tanner McKee Ruled Out For Game Against Utah Football

SALT LAKE CITY – The Stanford Cardinal announced before kickoff of their game against the Utah Utes that starting QB Tanner McKee will miss the game due to injury.
Tanner McKee will miss his first game of the season due to an injury that he suffered in Stanford’s loss to Washington last week. The sophomore from Corona, California has completed 64.8% of his passes for 1,916 yards, 14 touchdowns and five interceptions this season.
Stanford will turn to backup quarterback Jack West and will also see graduate transfer signal caller Isaiah Sanders from Air Force. West has completed eight of his 12 pass attempts for 76 yards and two interceptions.

Sanders has appeared in five games this season but hasn’t attempted a pass. He has ran the ball seven times for 13 yards and two touchdowns. The Aurora, Colorado native scored touchdowns against Oregon and USC, both wins.
It’s the second straight game that Utah will face a team that will miss their starting quarterback. Dorian Thompson-Robinson didn’t play in the Utes’ win over the Bruins last weekend and was replaced by Ethan Garbers.
Utah and Stanford will kickoff at 8:30 p.m. MT on FS1.
