Utah Alumni Cheer On Utes While On Duty In Afghanistan

BAGRAM, Afghanistan – Three members of the Air Force showed their support for the Utah Utes during Rivalry Week by flying with a team flag in the cockpit while stationed in Afghanistan.
Second Lieutenant Aris Livica and friends showed off a Utah “U” Pac-12 flag from the cockpit of an Air Force jet near Bagram, Afghanistan.
The airmen are alumni of the University of Utah. They were commissioned through the Air Force ROTC program.
Aris Livica shared these photos with a note: "To those #BYU fans who think that the flyover tomorrow is for them, think again."

Livica had a message for Cougar fans before the Rivalry game.
“To those BYU fans who think that the flyover tomorrow is for them, think again,” he said.
Livica said their favorite part of the rivalry is the intensity between BYU and Utah. The airmen will be tuning in to the Utes and Cougars live at 6:45 a.m. Friday morning.
Bagram Air Base is the largest United States military base in Afghanistan.
