Utah Basketball To Wear Special Shooting Shirts In Honor Of Black History Month

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah men’s basketball announced on Saturday afternoon that they will wear special shooting shirts in honor of Black History month.
Utah basketball will roll out a special shooting shirt that they will wear during warmups and on the bench during their game against Arizona State. On the front, on the upper left part of the shirt has three lines with “Be” in bold. On the first line it says “Be Seen,” followed by “Be Heard,” on the middle line and “Be Celebrated” on the bottom line.
On the back of the shirt is a faded picture of the world with the following words forming a circle around the globe: “Black, Liberation, Worldwide, Aspiration.”
Utah basketball announced the shooting shirts on Twitter with JUCO transfer Bostyn Holt and walk-on forward Harrison Creer sporting the shirts.

The Runnin’ Utes will play their penultimate game of the regular season against ASU before closing out their schedule next Saturday against Colorado. In the last meeting against Arizona State, Utah lost 64-62 in Tempe on Monday, January 17. Jalen Graham made a jumper in the paint with four seconds left to give the Sun Devils the lead and eventually the win.
David Jenkins Jr. lead the Utes with 14 points off the bench. Rollie Worster chipped in 13 points, while Dusan Mahorcic added 12 points and eight rebounds. Kimani Lawrence scored 18 points for ASU in the win at home.
Fast forward to this Saturday, Mahorcic is no longer with the program and Branden Carlson will play against the Sun Devils at the Huntsman Center.
Utah and Arizona State will tip-off at 8 p.m. MT on ESPNU.
