SALT LAKE CITY – Recruiting never stops, and as Utah football closed the chapter on the 2025 recruiting cycle, it opened the next one on the 2026 class of prospects.

Among the many talented recruits that Utah is in pursuit of, Pine View tight end Brock Harris may be top among them.

The talented pass catcher has narrowed down his recruitment to six schools: BYU, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Oregon, and Utah.

He previously locked in four official visits and now has a fifth with Utah.

One of the elite playmakers, not only in the state but also in the entire 2026 class, has secured an official visit with the Utes.

Pine View’s Brock Harris is nearing a composite five-star status, making him one of the top players in the country.

After locking in trips to Georgia, Michigan, Oregon, and BYU, Harris has now scheduled an official visit with Utah for June 18.

At 6-foot-6, 240 pounds, Harris is a tantalizing prospect. He has the size and athleticism to become a dynamic threat at tight end.

Over the span of three seasons, Harris has hauled in 128 passes for 1,796 yards and 22 touchdowns. He’s one of the most sought-after prospects in the 2026 class.

Harris plans to serve an abbreviated LDS mission out of high school, which will allow him to return prior to the 2027 season.

The Utes traveled south a couple of times in the past month to visit with Harris and his family. Utah sent new offensive coordinator Jason Beck, tight ends coach Freddie Whittingham, and offensive line coach Jim Harding to visit with Harris.

Shortly after the in-home visit, Harris actually came up to Salt Lake City to visit Utah. The opportunity provided him time spent with the coaching staff and other top prospects in the state.

Then Kyle and Fred Whittingham, Micah Simon, and Mark Atuaia tripped down to St. George to visit Harris during one of his basketball games.

The recruiting landscape for Utah

Utah faces stiff competition in its recruiting efforts and will be battling with multiple Power Four programs vying for their commitments. However, with Jason Beck guiding a new offense, who emerges as top targets at their respective positions, it will be interesting to follow, as it will serve as a forecast for the offense’s future. As always, Morgan Scalley will lead the charge on the defensive side of the ball, where the Utes have traditionally recruited quite well.

The Utes will be pushing for several top targets in the coming weeks and months. Securing a top quarterback and a handful of offensive line prospects will be vital. Kyle Whittingham and his staff would love to secure several in-state prospects as well. As the cycle progresses over the next four months, all eyes will be on these key targets and how they navigate the process.
