SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Pac-12 Conference announced that Utah will face the Washington Huskies on Saturday, November 28 in Seattle.

The announcement came after Utah’s game against Arizona State was canceled on Tuesday night.

Washington’s game against Washington State was canceled earlier this week.

“The Pac-12 announced today that Utah will now play at Washington on Saturday, November 28 at 8:30 p.m. MST,” the Pac-12 statement read. “The scheduling of this game is consistent with the Conference’s commitment to provide opportunities for student-athletes through maximum scheduling flexibility while still prioritizing health and safety. The announcement follows the cancellations of each of the Utah at Arizona State game and the Washington at Washington State game.”

The game will kickoff at 8:30 p.m. MST and will be televised on ESPN.

Utah’s Recent History Against Washington

Utah is 2-5 against Washington since becoming conference foes in 2011 and are 2-2 in Seattle. The Utes played at Husky Stadium last season and picked up a 33-28 come-from-behind victory.

In 2018, the Huskies and Utes played each other twice. The first meeting was at Rice-Eccles Stadium with Washington pulling out a 21-7 victory. They met again in the Pac-12 Championship game where the Huskies knocked off the Utes, 10-3.

Utah Without Starting QB

On Tuesday, head coach Kyle Whittingham announced that starting quarterback Cameron Rising will miss the rest of the season due to an injury he suffered in their season opener versus USC.

“Biggest loss is Cam Rising, it looks like he is done for the season at least that’s what has been indicated to me barring a miracle,” Whittingham told the media on Tuesday morning. “He’s not going to be back with us. So we move forward and Jake Bentley is our guy and we’ll just continue to get ready and and go through the season.”

The Utes will turn to South Carolina graduate transfer Jake Bentley as the signal caller this season. He started 34 games for the Gamecocks from 2016-19. The senior threw for 7,527 yards and 55 touchdowns for his former team.

“He’s got 30 plus SEC starts under his belt and performed very well in the SEC. So it’s not like it’s an unknown commodity,” Whittingham mentioned. “We can build the offense around Jake now and his skill set away we go. We feel very fortunate that he’s with us, and we expect him to get the job done.”

Against USC on Saturday, Bentley went 16-of-28 passing for 171 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.
