Utah Offensive Trio Snaps 14-year Streak Amidst Thrashing Of UCLA

Nov 18, 2019, 12:47 PM | Updated: 3:28 pm

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – A 14-year record was broken during Utah’s encounter with UCLA over the weekend. For the first time since the 2005 Emerald Bowl the University of Utah had three players on offense that went for 300 yards passing, 100 yards receiving and 100 yards rushing.

Tyler Huntley threw for 335 yards, Zack Moss ran for 127 yards and Brant Kuithe had 132 yards receiving.

It had been 178 games since Utah notched the 300, 100, 100 mark.

On December 29 2005, Utah took on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in the Emerald Bowl. They came away with a 38-10 victory.

During that game, quarterback Brett Ratliff threw for 381 yards, running back Quinton Ganther ran for 120 yards and wide receiver Travis Latendresse had 214 yards receiving.

Huntley Continues To Climb

After his 14 for 18, 335 yard and 3 touchdown performance Huntley continues to climb the completion percentage leaderboard. He now sits in lone second, only behind Heisman frontrunner Joe Burrow, Huntley is now completing 74.2 percent of his passes. Burrow sits at 78.6 percent.

Subsequently, the University of Utah has officially launched its #HuntleyForHeisman campaign after yet another strong showing against the Bruins.

A Look Ahead To The Wildcats

Utah and Arizona will kick off at 8:00 p.m. Saturday in Tuscon, Arizona.

The Utes are 3-1 on the road this season. The Wildcats are 3-2 at home, having suffered losses to Washington and Oregon State on their home turf.

FS1 will have the broadcast.
