Utah Sets New Season Low From Downtown

BOULDER, Colo. – The University of Utah lost an important game to the Colorado Buffaloes, 71-63.
The scoring margin doesn’t show that the Utes struggled but that did from the perimeter. They shot a season low 19 percent from the three-point line on 5-for-26 attempts.
Their previous low this season was against the Washington Huskies at the Huntsman Center on January 10, when they made just 6 of their 30 attempts as they lost 88-70.
Against Colorado, the Utes best perimeter shooter was Donnie Tillman, who made two of his five attempts from deep.
Another triple for Tillman and the Utes have cut a nine-point deficit down to four. Less than 2 minutes left in the first half.

Timmy Allen had one made three-pointer on two shots to go with his 11 points.
Riley Battin and Charles Jones each went 0-for-1. Parker Van Dyke, who has recently had the hot hand, went 0-for-3.
Both Gach also went without a made three-pointer, going 0-of-6.
Sedrick Barefield scored a team-high 19 points on 7-of-16 from the field, but hit just 2-for-8 from downtown.
Utah will face USC on Thursday at the Jon M. Huntsman Center at 8 p.m. on FS1. The Utes are currently in fifth place in the Pac-12 standings. They will need to finish the regular season in the top four to receive a first round bye in the Pac-12 Tournament in Las Vegas.
