Zack Moss Has Blazing Fast 91-Yard TD Run, Third Longest In Utes History

CORVALLIS, Ore. – University of Utah running back Zack Moss returned to the starting lineup after missing one and a half games to run for a 91-yard touchdown against Oregon State in the first quarter.
The run by Moss is the third longest run in school history. Only Frank Nelson’s 93-yard run in 1947 against BYU and Steve Savoy’s 92-yard run against the Cougars in 2004 was longer.
Moss has 115 rushing yards on just four carries. Entering the game, he needed 176 yards to pass Eddie Johnson for the all-time leader in rushing yards in Utah football history. He also scored his fifth rushing touchdown of the season and needs just three more runs into the end zone to pass Del Rodgers for the all-time leader in school history in career rushing touchdowns.

At the time of the touchdown, Moss averaged 28.8 yards per carry. His previous longest run of his career was last season in the opener against Weber State when he ran for 86-yards.
Utah scored 21 points and held Oregon State scoreless after the first quarter when quarterback Tyler Huntley threw a 30-yard touchdown to wide receiver Samson Nacua. In the first 15 minutes of play, Utah had 257 total yards of offense and limited Oregon State to just 53 yards.
