OGDEN, Utah – Weber State announced that head football coach Jay Hill agreed to contract extension to remain with the Wildcats for an additional two seasons.

The Wildcats announced Hill’s new deal on Thursday, February 18.

“Jay has done an incredible job in building our football program into what it is today,” Weber State Director of Athletics Tim Crompton said. “I echo his sentiments on the support from the WSU administration. Jay has proven himself as an elite coach and we are thrilled to have him sign this extension to continue to build on what he has accomplished.”

Hill’s new contract will keep him at Weber State through the 2025 season.

“I am super excited about the direction of our program, what we have accomplished and where we are heading,” Hill said of his extension. “Weber State is a very special place to me and I couldn’t be happier with the way our  administration has backed me in building a championship program.”

Hill was first hired as Weber State’s head coach in December 2013.

Weber State has won three consecutive Big Sky Conference titles under Hill.

Hill has helped the Wildcats advance to the FCS Playoffs in each of the last four seasons.

During his six seasons at Weber State, Hill owns a record of 47-30, including 34-14 in conference games.

Weber State kicks off its 2021 spring football schedule against Idaho State on February 27.
