Weber State Loses To Montana State After Second Half Collapse

BOZEMAN, Mon. – The Weber State Wildcats couldn’t keep the momentum going in the second half as they fell to the Montana State Bobcats 77-63.
The Wildcats had a 40-34 lead at the halftime break after shooting 16-27 from the field and 5-9 from the three-point line in the the first 20 minutes and had an 18-point half from Cody John.
In the second half, Montana State outscored Weber State 43-23 in order to get the win. The Wildcats shot just 8-33 from the field and 2-22 from beyond the arc in the second half.

John finished with 18 points on 7-15 field goal shooting and 3-10 from the perimeter. Jerrick Harding added 16 points on 2-7 from deep. Kham Davis posted 10 points and 5 rebounds.
After two halves of play, Weber State ended the game shooting 40 percent from the floor and 7-31 for 22 percent from the three-point line.
Montana State’s Jubrile Belo led all scorers with 23 points and 11 rebounds on 9-12 from the field. Harald Frey also notched a double-double for the Bobcats with 16 points and 10 assists.
The Bobcats shot 50 percent from the floor and from beyond the arc.
Weber State dropped their record to 10-16 overall and 6-9 in Big Sky Conference play. They will return to the Dee Events Center on Saturday, February 22 to face in-state rival Southern Utah. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on KJZZ and Pluto TV channel 535.
