SALT LAKE CITY – Davis High School two-way star Bode Davis has reportedly narrowed his list of potential colleges to ten as he prepares for his senior season with the Darts.

The coveted wideout and defensive back includes the University of Utah and the BYU Cougars on his list.

College football reporter Hayes Fawcett was the first to report Sparrow’s decision to trim down the list of schools he is considering.

Arizona State is the only other Big 12 program remaining in the hunt with the local schools.

Sparrow included the Oregon Ducks and Michigan Wolverines from the Big 10, leaving open the possibility he ends up with Kyle Witthingham in Maize & Blue.

LSU, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Texas A&M of the SEC round out Sparrow’s preferred choices.

About Bode Sparrow

The 2025 junior helped lead a talented Darts program to a 10-2 record and first place in 6A Region 1.

Listed at 6’3, Sparrow is adept at using his length and strength to create advantages on both sides of the football.

He finished the season with 83 catches for 1,218 yards and 16 touchdowns. Sparrow added seven interceptions, 71 tackles, and two defensive touchdowns while rarely coming off the field for a team whose only two losses came in overtime by a total of four points.

When not deploying his skills on the gridiron, Sparrow has been a standout on the hardwood. He averaged 10.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 2.4 steals as a sophomore.

Sparrow played 12 games in 2023. He was an immediate offensive threat, making 69 catches for 842 yards and ten touchdowns. He averaged 12.2 yards per catch as a freshman.

As a sophomore, Sparrow tallied 61 grabs for 994 yards and scored 16 times. He averaged 82.8 yards receiving per game in 2024. Sparrow added nine interceptions as a defender to solidify his lofty prospect status.

He came into 2025 with 62 tackles, nine interceptions, three passes defended, and one fumble recovery.
