BYU, Utah Make Top Four Cut For Timpview Edge Rusher Logan Fano

PROVO, Utah – Timpview High School edge rusher Logan Fano has trimmed his potential college suitors list from eight down to four. With a pair of local colleges appearing on the list.

Fano, a three-star prospect in the class of 2021, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, unveiled BYU, Oklahoma, Utah, and Washington as his top four schools.

The four schools on Fano’s top eight that were cut included Michigan, Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Virginia. Fano is well-versed in the recruiting game. He has been receiving scholarship offers since he was in eighth grade.

Fano was once committed to BYU for three years before de-committing from the Cougars this past January, six days after taking an unofficial visit to Utah’s campus. The Utes are viewed as the favorite in this four-team race according to Crystal Ball projections from the 247Sports staff.

A 6-foot-4, 225-pound weakside defensive end, Fano has been selected to play in the 2021 Polynesian Bowl in Hawaii this January, an all-star game featuring the top high school talent in the nation.

The early signing period for college football begins on December 16th and runs through the 18th. Fano and Timpview are next in action on October 30th for a state playoff game against Olympus High School.
