Week 4: Friday night’s Utah high school football roundup

SALT LAKE CITY — Thursday’s warm-up led to another wild round of Utah high school football in Week 3 of the 2026 season.
Region play started this week, which means more local rivalries — but still plenty of top-talent showcases, including Lone Peak hosting Las Vegas’ Bishop Gorman, the No. 8-ranked team in the country by MaxPreps on KSL’s Game Night Live.
As per usual, Week 4 started on Thursday, including Provo’s dramatic overtime win over Salem Hills for the Bulldogs’ first win of the season.
Here’s what else you may have missed from Week 3 of the Utah high school football season.
Region 2
Mountain Ridge 59, Cedar Valley 0
Brady Hunt and Jackson Hunt each threw three touchdown passes as the Sentinels rolled to mercy-rule victory with 5:23 left in the third quarter.
Marshall West caught two touchdowns for Mountain Ridge (4-0).
Bryson Sweeney threw for four touchdowns, and Logan Gregory returned a kick 99 yards for a score as the Mustangs stayed unbeaten with a rout of the Silverwolves.
Taylor Mcmanus returned a blocked kick 10 yards for a touchdown to put en exclamation point on the Thunder’s defensively dominant win over the Miners.
Silas Taumoepeau added an eight-yard rushing touchdown for Westlake (3-1), which got three field goals from Logan Sorensen.
Region 4
Michigan commit Kamden Lopati threw five touchdown passes to lead the Panthers in a rout of the Wolverines.
Monson Vaenuku caught his second touchdown pass on a 69-yard grab with six minutes remaining to trigger the UHSAA’s mercy-rule decision.
K’Von Houston threw for three touchdowns and ran for two more as the Huskies improved to 3-1 with a shutout of the Lancers.
Alani Latu pulled down two touchdowns for Hillcrest.
Gunner Fredrickson caught two of Sidney McElreathe’s three touchdown passes as the Pirates coasted by the winless Cougars.
West Jordan 47, Taylorsville 9
The Jaguars did not report more than the final score in the rout of Taylorsville.
Region 5
Calvin Cooper accounted for five touchdowns as the Silverwolves jumped out to a 34-0 halftime lead and never looked back in a win over the Lakers.
Judd Howells ran for two touchdowns as the Bees blanked the Knights to move to 4-0.
Easton Eilertson threw for a touchdown and ran for another to rally the Longhorns by the Royals.
Eilertson scored on a 1-yard TD plunge with 2:30 remaining, and Caden Judy’s two-point conversion helped West Field (2-2) rally for the 5-point win.
Gunner Pearson ran for three touchdowns and threw for another for the Royals (1-3), which led 12-0 at halftime and 25-14 on Pearson’s 10-yard TD dive with 9:58 remaining.
Region 7
Pleasant Grove 38, Maple Mountain 14
Cannon Jacobson completed three touchdown passes, and Ethan Passey and Davian Akwenye each converted an interception into a touchdown as the Vikings sprinted past the Golden Eagles.
Matthew Manuma and Marley Fakatoumafi combined for six touchdown passes as the Thunderbirds aired it out in a win over the Lions.
Rob Tuaone hauled in three touchdown catches for Timpview, which snapped a two-game losing skid with their second win of the year.
Beckham Curtis ran for three touchdowns to power the Tigers past the Red Devils in a key Region 7 contest.
Hayden Jarvis added two rushing scores for Orem (2-2), which used a 21-0 third-quarter spurt to break open a 14-14 halftime stalemate.
Region 8
Bronco Blackhust cashed in an interception near his own goal line and returned it 95 yards for a touchdown to help the Timberwolves pull past the Utes.
Park City 33, Mountain View 28
Ratu Malungahu recovered a fumble and. returned it 55 yards for a touchdown with 4:03 left in the fourth quarter to help the Miners clinch their first win of the season.
Grady Coombs and Braxton Sandoval each ran for two touchdowns as the Wasps kept the first-year Riverhawks winless with a 26-3 second-half run.
Region 10
Will Bauman connected with Zamiri Vaughn on two of his five touchdown passes as the Rams (3-1) rolled to a win over the winless Colts.
Region 11
Ridgeline 42, Mountain Crest 14
Crew Cox threw four touchdown passes to help the Riverhawks hand Mountain Crest its first loss of the year.
Noah Fiefia ran for two scores for Ridgeline (4-0).
Brady Muir completed a pair of touchdown passes for the Mustangs (3-1).
Trevan Rosser threw for a pair of touchdowns to guide the Buffaloes past the Golden Eagles.
Eli Braegger’s second touchdown grab with nine seconds left lifted the Bears to a 3-point victory over the Bobcats.
Preston Wilkinson threw for five touchdowns, two each to Braegger and Glaiden Behrens for Bear River (3-1).
Rad Sparrow had three rushing touchdowns to lead Sky View (1-3).
Brighton Reutzel threw for three touchdowns as the Stallions pulled past the Wolves.
3A South
Preston Higgins caught two of Owen Williams’ three touchdown passes to help the Falcons stay unbeaten with a win over the Dinos.
Camden Sheridan ran for four scores for Canyon View (4-0).
Cordon White threw for a touchdown and ran for another to help the Wildcats pull away with a 21-7 spurt in the second half.
Price Armstrong threw for four touchdowns and ran for two more as the Wasps pulled away from the Templars.
1A 8-player
The Jayhawks only reported the final score of their first win of the season.
Whitehorse 62, Water Canyon 32
The Raiders only reported the final score of their win over the Wildcats.
Utah Military-Hillfield 34, Monument Valley 14
Utah Military-Hillfield clinched its first win over the season and kept the Cougars winless.
Utah Military-Camp Williams 54, Altamont 46
The Marauders survived a shootout with the Longhorns to snap a two-game losing skid.

Nonregion games
Mountain View (Wyo.) 14, Rich 13
After a scoreless first half, Jasper Johnson scored on a 65-yard run in the third quarter and Brady Cornia added an 85-yard kick return touchdown before the Rebels fell to the Buffalos on the missed extra point.
Cru Richins tossed a pair of touchdowns as the Braves (3-1) shut out the Rams (0-4) in three quarters.
Degan Swapp ran for three of the Cowboys’ six touchdown runs in overwhelming the Eagles.
Brex Robinson accounted for three touchdowns to guide the Eagles by the Beavers.
Enterprise 59, North Sevier 14
Jake Christensen ran for three touchdowns, and Rigz Anzalone added two more as Enterprise overhwelmed North Sevier to move to 3-1.
Bronx Hunt scored on a 50-yard TD run with 9:30 left in the first quarter as the Rabbits jumped out to a 24-0 halftime lead and never looked back to move to 3-1 against the Patriots.
South Summit 43, South Sevier 7
Brody Larsen scooped up a fumble and returned it six yards for a touchdown, and the Wildcats rode a balanced offense to a rout of the winless Rams to move to 3-1.
Coy Doman threw for six touchdowns as the Panthers improved to 3-1 in a win over the Grizzlies.
Easton Favero threw for a touchdown and ran for three more for Logan (2-2).
Riker Muhlestein found Robbie Bennett for a 3-yard touchdown with seven seconds remaining to force overtime, then connected with Jennings Larkin from 20 yards to lift the Flyers to their first win of the season.
Gavin DeMile ran for two touchdowns for Cedar (2-2).
San Juan 38, Summit Academy 14
Beau Yeomans threw for four touchdowns and ran for another as the Broncos shot past the Bears to improve to 3-1.
The Eagles only reported the final score to keep the Leopards winless.
Blake Weston ran for three touchdowns to carry the Tigers to 2-2 with a win over the Falcons.
Brik Barlow connected with Bryson Ridge on a pair of touchdowns for Clearfield (2-2).
Spanish Fork 32, Desert Hills 7
Hawkin Rasmussen threw four touchdown passes, and the Dons scored two safeties en route to a 25-0 third-quarterlead to roll to the win.
Nixon Warren had two touchdown receptions for Spanish Fork (3-1).
Crimson Cliffs 36, Brighton 13
Tanoai Andresen threw for two touchdowns to lead the Mustangs to a balanced win over the Bengals to move to 3-1.
Kome Toilolo returned a blocked kick for a touchdown with 4:35 remaining to rally the Grizzlies by the Lancers for a 4-0 start.
Luke Byers threw a pair of touchdown passes to Carter Hughes for Layton (2-2), which led 21-13 at halftime.
Olympus 29, Piedra Vista (N.M.) 14
Easton Zito ran for 128 yards and two touchdowns to push the Titans past the visitors from New Mexico.
Wyatt Neilson ran for two touchdowns to help the Warriors outlast the Vikings.
Creed Devries caught a 30-yard touchdown pass from Carter Payne to push Weber (3-1) to a 28-14 lead with 3:34 remaining. But Brett Tovey found Damon Frey with his third touchdown pass of the game for Viewmont (2-2) before the Warriors held on.

Gunnison Valley 42, Milford 13
Dillon Dyreng ran for three touchdowns as the Bulldogs ran past the Tigers to get to 3-1 on the year.
Corbin Black had two touchdown passes, including a 71-yard strike to Beto Carroll miday through the first quarter that gave the Red Devils (1-2) a 7-0 lead, in the loss to the Tigers.
Kannon Cowan threw for two touchdowns and ran for two more as the Tigers sprinted past the Cowboys in a battle of 3-0 teams.
Snow Canyon 35, Woods Cross 28
Parker Olson hurled four touchdown passes, including a 38-yard toss to Issaiah Thompson with 22 seconds left to lift the Warriors by the Wildcats.
Thompson and Brett Bethers each caught two touchdowns for Snow Canyon (2-2).
Sam Bahr ran for two touchdowns for Woods Cross (2-2).
Bode Sparrow ran for a touchdown, caught another from quarterback Paden Toula, and scored on a 97-yard kick return to carry the Darts by the previously unbeaten Hawks.
Judah Valle ran for three touchdowns, and Jonah Mailei added tow more as the Eagles (2-2) kept the Soaring Eagle winless on the season.
Ajay Thomas threw for three touchdowns and ran for another to help the Spartans stifle the Bulldogs.
Hunter Leffler added two rushing touchdowns for Emery (2-2).
Mavrick Middleton ran for two scores for Judge Memorial (1-2).
American Leadership 17, Ben Lomond 13
Asher Hernandez hauled in a 60-yard touchdown from Cooper DuPaix with 3:06 left in the second quarter, and Wesley Haston added a 43-yard field goal just before halftime to keep the Eagles undefeated at 4-0 against the winless Scots.
Kao Prom ran for two touchdowns, and the Titans (1-3) jumped out to a 14-7 lead midway through the second quarter before the Trojans rallied to win.
American Fork 41, Farmington 13
Jake Matsen connected with Cash Taiese for two of his four touchdown passes to power the Cavemen to a 3-1 start with a win over the Phoenix.
Easton Hunt returned an interception 52 yards for a touchdown midway through the third quarter to pull Farmington (1-3) within 24-13. But the Cavemen ended the game on a 17-0 run to pull away for good.
Monticello 26, Dolores (Colo.) 21
Cache Young ran for three touchdowns to push the Buckaroos to a 3-0 start.
Lehi 27, ALA-Queen Creek (Ariz.) 12
Briggs Jensen threw for three touchdowns, including an 8-yard strike to Beckham Cluff with two minutes left in the half to help the Pioneers hold off the Patriots and improve to 2-2.
Skyridge 24, Liberty (Nev.) 20
Jagger Fountaine threw three first-half touchdowns to help the Falcons hold off the Patriots to improve to 3-1.
Liberty (Ariz.) 38, Corner Canyon 24
Jaxon Pehrson threw for two touchdowns, including one to Utah commit Diesel Dart, and Ryce Palepoi returned a fumble 15 yards for a score that gave the Chargers (3-1) a 24-14 third-quarter lead before the Lions rallied 24 second-half points.
