Salt Lake County Player of the Week – Adriean Boyd, Highland
The Highland Rams hosted the Viewmont Vikings on Friday night, wanting to secure a win to head into region play with positive momentum. Adriean King Boyd took center stage to lift the home side over the Vikings. Adriean finished the night with 5 receptions for 97-yards and two touchdowns, 4 carries for 61-yards and added a rushing touchdown late in the fourth that would prove decisive in the week three contest.

Responding to a touchdown from Viewmont, quarterback Will Bauman found Adriean for a 48-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter. The Rams added two touchdowns in the second quarter and took a 21-14 lead into halftime. Adriean would score the only Highland touchdown in the third quarter after connecting with Will on a 14-yard pass. In the fourth quarter, Adriean would power through the Vikings’ defense and found himself into the endzone again off a 50-yard touchdown run. Viewmont scored again late in the fourth quarter to be down 45-30, but the Rams’ defense held on with Adriean’s earlier rushing touchdown paying off to be game winning for Highland.
