Joe Johnson Scores 28 Points To Carry Triplets To Big3 Championship

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Former Jazzman Joe Johnson scored 28 points to carry the Triplets to a 50-39 win over the Killer 3’s to claim the Big3 Championship.
“Iso Joe” had 16 points in the first half and dropped 12 in the second half for the Triplets.
Former Jazzman Al Jefferson is also on that team, but had just two rebounds in the win.

The Big3 is a professional 3-on-3 basketball league featuring former NBA and international players. They finished their third season with the Triplets playing in their first season in the league.
Johnson was tremendous throughout the season, averaging over 20 points per game and was named the Most Valuable Player. In the championship game, he also had 6 rebounds and 2 assists, while hitting three 3-pointers and 12 field goals.
For the Killer 3’s, former NBA veteran Stephen Jackson led the way with 19 points and 9 rebounds.
Last Thursday, Johnson worked out for the Philadelphia 76ers and is expected to work out for the Los Angeles Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, Denver Nuggets and New Orleans Pelicans as well as other teams.
The Triplets finished the regular season with a 7-1 record before beating the 3 Headed Monsters in the first round of the playoffs and the Killer 3’s in the championship.
