Local Sports Teams Wish State Of Utah ‘Happy Pioneer Day’

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Multiple local sports organizations posted on social media to wish people in the state of Utah a “Happy Pioneer Day.”
Pioneer Day is an official holiday in the state of Utah. It is celebrated annually on July 24 in commemoration of the arrival of the first group of pioneers from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints into the state in 1847.
On July 24, some of Utah’s local sports teams shared in celebrating the holiday with fans in the state.
Utah Jazz
“Happy Pioneer Day, Utah!” tweeted the Jazz organization.
The Jazz posted a video that featured the song “Utah…This Is The Place” and players dancing.
