LOGAN, Utah – When Utah State hosts Nevada it will be a homecoming game for three Wolfpack players. Nevada’s Gabriel Sewell, Cole Watts, and Hausia Sekona are all from the state of Utah.

Aggies’ head coach Gary Andersen talked about playing against the three Utahns in his weekly press conference on Monday, October 14.

“They’re good players and good guys. Other guys on our staff know them better than I do, but I know of them and have much respect for those guys,” said Andersen. “It’ll give them a little extra juice when they walk in here. We watched those guys as they grew up and developed, and they’re good football players.”

Sewell is a linebacker for the Wolfpack. He is from St. George and played high school football at Desert Hills High School.

The former Deseret Hills star was placed on preseason watch lists for the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year award and the Bednarik Award.

Through six games in 2019, the senior linebacker has recorded 24 tackles including 4.0 tackles for loss.

Watts is an offensive lineman from Orem. He played for the Orem Tigers in high school.

The former Tiger standout is a freshman at Nevada. He has yet to play for the Wolfpack in 2019.

Sekona is a defensive tackle out of East High. He is from Salt Lake City.

In six games this season, Sekona has posted 13 tackles including one tackle for loss.

The Aggies host Sewell, Watts, Sekona, and the rest of the Wolfpack on Saturday, October 19 at 8:15 p.m. (MDT). The game will be televised on ESPNU.
