Norm Chow Named Offensive Coordinator For LA’s XFL Team

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Former Utah player and offensive coordinator and former BYU OC Norm Chow will return to coaching as he will be the play-caller for the XFL team in Los Angeles.
The organization announced the move from head coach Winston Moss.
The XFL will re-launch in 2020.
Chow was recently an assistant coach for Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach, California in 2016.

Chow played at the University of Utah from 1965-67 as an offensive guard. He then returned to Hawaii to begin his coaching career with Waialua High School as their head coach. The Honolulu, Hawaii native then coached at BYU from 1973-99, where he was a graduate assistant, wide receivers, running backs, quarterbacks and offensive coordinator during his tenure in Provo.
After his time with the Cougars, he was the OC at North Carolina State during the 2000 season before joining USC as the offensive coordinator from 2001-04. He was the offensive coordinator for the Tennessee Titans from 2005-07 and Utah in 2011 before getting his first college head coaching job with Hawaii, serving as the head coach from 2012-15.
