Southern Utah To Face BYU In Basketball During 2019-20 Season

PROVO, Utah – Southern Utah University announced that their basketball team will face BYU in non-conference action on November 13, 2019 in Provo at the Marriott Center.
It will be the 12th meeting between the schools in their history.
BYU has won all 11 contests against the Thunderbirds.

The last time the two teams played was in 2007 when BYU was ranked No. 21 in the country and picked up a 70-55 win. All 11 games have been played in Provo. The first meeting was in 1992. This past season, BYU finished with a 19-13 season and an 11-5 mark in West Coast Conference play. They will enter the upcoming season with Mark Pope as the head coach after Dave Rose retired.
Southern Utah went 17-17 overall and 9-11 in Big Sky Conference action last season and will enter their fourth season under head coach Todd Simon.
