PROVO — The BYU football depth chart is out for the ninth game of the season, an upcoming rivalry matchup against No. 3 Utah.
BYU enters the game at 7-1 and is ranked No. 7 in the latest AP Top 25, after defeating Arizona State at home last week.
Here are some quick notes before diving into the ninth depth chart of the year for the seventh-ranked Cougars.

No LJ Martin at running back
BYU running back LJ Martin is the big focus this week from an availability standpoint. The reigning Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year is currently not on the depth chart. Head coach Kalani Sitake said it would take until Wednesday to get a better idea of where they stand with Martin’s ability to play this week.
Utah head coach Morgan Scalley has already said they are game planning for Martin to play this Saturday.
Removed the -OR- at right guard
With Kyle Sfarcioc back in action, the -OR- next to him and Zak Yamauchi have been removed. Sfarcioc missed the UCF game due to injury. He’s been the full-time starter this season.
Tiger Bachmeier added to kick returner
Evan Johnson is dealing with an injury. Along with being a starting cornerback, Johnson was in the mix at kick returner. Tiger Bachmeier replaced Evan Johnson at the kick returner spot.
