Sewell Runs For First Down On Fake Punt, Records INT In All-American Bowl

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Five-star Orem linebacker and Oregon Ducks commit Noah Sewell registered an impressive performance at the All-American Bowl running for a first down on a fake punt and reeling in an interception.
Sewell played for the West team in the annual high school football all-star game that took place on Saturday, January 4.
The Orem stand out showed his athleticism among the country’s best prep players by picking off a pass from the East team and running the ball 30 yards for a first down on a fake punt.

Sewell is rated as the top high school football player in the state of Utah in the class of 2020 by 247Sports.
The five-star player is ranked as the No. 2 linebacker in the nation and No. 23 overall.
Sewell led the Tigers to the 5A state title in November 2019. In the championship game, Sewell shouldered Orem’s offense with 11 carries for 103 yards and a touchdown. On defense, he led the Tigers in tackles with 13. He recorded 2 tackles for loss, 2 pass breakups, and a fumble recovery in the win over Timpview.
After the championship victory, the linebacker announced his commitment to Oregon.
He signed with the Ducks on December 18, 2019.
Before Sewell decided to join Oregon, he received offers from Georgia, Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, BYU, California, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Hawaii, Kansas State, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska, Nevada, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC, Utah, Utah State, Virginia, Washington, Washington State, and Wisconsin.
Utah Football Commits
Corner Canyon’s Van Fillinger and Juan Diego’s Xavier Carlton were also invited to the All-American Bowl.

Both local all-stars are rated as four-star players. They signed with the University of Utah during the early signing period in December 2019.
Fillinger announced via Twitter that he wouldn’t participate in the all-star competition due to a shoulder injury.
