SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Runnin Ute and current Los Angeles Laker, Kyle Kuzma, has signed a multiyear extension with the GOAT app. Kuzma, along with other professional athletes and celebrities, has helped the GOAT app grow into the largest digital sneaker marketplace in the world since it was founded in 2015.

It now boasts over 20 million users and 1 million listings across 164 countries. Details of the extension are unknown.

Kuzma originally signed with the GOAT app at the beginning of the 2018-19 NBA season while still under contract with Nike. Signing with the GOAT app gave Kuzma access to hard to find and rare sneakers.

Nowadays, Kuzma’s brand has grown and his fashion style is as unique as you will see. The extension with the GOAT app will allow Kuzma to showcase its newly launched apparel and streetwear selections. Specifically through his pre-game arena entry outfits and locker room interviews.

“I’m really excited to continue my partnership with GOAT,” Kuzma said. “It’s been great working together and getting to show off a bit of my style through my favorite shoes and gear.”

On October 2, 2019, Kuzma signed a five year deal with Puma after originally joining the NBA wearing Nike shoes. He plans to wear Puma sneakers, under the GOAT app umbrella, to help bring awareness to the brand. Puma relaunched its NBA presence at the start of the 2018-19 season and has since looked to sign exciting and diverse personalities including Marvin Bagley III, RJ Barrett, Terry Rozier, Demarcus Cousins, Marcus Smart, Kyle Kuzma, and others.

Puma will obviously play a big role in Kuzma’s fashion moving forward, however, the GOAT app also gives Kuzma access to luxury designer brands such as Gucci, Saint Laurent, and Alexander McQueen.

“Not only does GOAT have the sneakers I can’t get anywhere else, but their expansion into apparel and accessories lets me evolve my style even more,” he said. “This is a big year for me and I look forward to continuing my partnership with GOAT.”

As Kyle Kuzma extends his partnership with the GOAT app, the intersection of sports and commerce continues to thrive, showcasing how athletes leverage their influence in the marketplace. This trend parallels the Brazilian government’s recent plans to tax sports betting, which aims to generate significant revenue for the country. The government anticipates raising up to R$6 billion through the taxation of betting activities, highlighting the growing importance of this sector in Brazil’s economy. Just as Kuzma utilizes his platform to promote unique sneaker culture, the Brazilian tax initiative reflects a strategic move to regulate and capitalize on the expanding gambling market
