Jordan Love Plays Best Game Of Season On SNF Against Cowboys

ARLINGTON, Texas — Former Utah State quarterback Jordan Love had his best performance of the season in week four, as the Packers and Cowboys played to a 40-40 tie on Sunday Night Football.
Love completed 31 of his 43 pass attempts for 337 yards and three touchdowns. He also scrambled three times for 28 yards.

Jordan Love, Packers Tie With Cowboys In Sunday Night Shootout
The game started about as far in favor of Green Bay as it could have.
On the first drive, Love led the Packers 69 yards in five minutes and found Romeo Doubs on the outside to make it 7-0.
For Dallas, their first two drives of the game took up five minutes combined, but both ended in punts. The third Packers drive was nearly identical to the first. Under 10 plays, under six minutes, and a touchdown pass to Doubs.

With less than a minute left before halftime, the Cowboys flipped the script. An 11-play, 95-yard drive ended in a Dak Prescott touchdown with 41 ticks left on the clock.
The Dallas defense then forced a strip sack 20 seconds later, and the Cowboys were immediately back in the red zone. Prescott found George Pickens on the first play, and all of a sudden, Dallas held a lead that they would take into the break.
To start the third quarter, the Green Bay offense once again marched down the field, and Josh Jacobs found pay dirt to put Green Bay up 20-16.
After Dallas responded and regained the lead, Jacobs dropped the remix one drive later to put the Packers back out in front. That score brought the game into the fourth quarter, and the scoring was just getting started for both teams.
The next four drives went like this: Dallas touchdown, third TD pass from Love to Doubs, Dallas touchdown, Green Bay field goal with zeroes on the clock.

Just like that, the game was tied 37-37 and headed to overtime.
The Cowboys started with the ball in OT and quickly moved down the field before the Packers forced them into settling for a field goal. Love and the Green Bay offense had one chance to win the game with a touchdown or, at least, match the three points.
Somewhat anticlimactically, the Packers also had to settle for three. Brandon McManus drilled it, and the game ended in a 40-40 tie.
About Jordan Love
Before his time in the league, the Bakersfield, California native played at USU from 2016 to 2019. During his time with the Aggies, Love threw for 8,600 yards, 60 touchdowns, and 29 interceptions with a completion rate of 61 percent.
In 2020, the Packers traded up to select Love with the No. 26 overall pick in the NFL Draft.
During his rookie campaign, the former USU standout was inactive for each of Green Bay’s games.
Love saw limited action in his second and third seasons with the Packers and continued to serve as the backup to four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers. Following the 2022 season, the Packers traded Rodgers to the New York Jets. The Rodgers trade paved the way for Love to be Green Bay’s QB1 in 2023.

In his first two seasons, Love threw for 606 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions with a 60.2 percent completion rate in 10 games played.
In 2023, Love threw for 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. He also ran for 247 yards and four touchdowns, leading the Packers to a 9-8 record in the regular season.
In two playoff games, the former USU signal-caller threw for 466 yards, five touchdowns, and two interceptions.
Love was injured early in 2024, but came back and led the Packers to another Wild Card berth with 3,389 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. Green Bay was knocked out in the first game of the postseason by the eventual champion Philadelphia Eagles.
