Locals In The NFL: Week Nine Player Power Rankings

The NFL season has officially passed the midway point of the regular season.
Now that Thursday Night Football in week 10 is upon us, it’s time to update our local player power rankings.
This week, we have new faces in new places, both literally and figuratively.

KSL Sports Locals In The NFL Power Rankings
Beginning this NFL season, we’ll post weekly player power rankings that shift as players make their mark.
These rankings are subjective — comparing offensive linemen to defensive backs, and quarterbacks to linebackers will never be perfect.
As the 2025 season goes on, performances in recent years matter less and less. Enough build-up, let’s get to the list.
Honorable Mentions
These are players who are in the mix but still on the outside looking in. An argument can be made for each one of these guys, but they failed to make the top ten for one reason or another.
Tyler Allgeier (BYU, Falcons RB), Taron Johnson (Weber State, Bills CB), Jonah Elliss (Utah, Broncos LB), Cody Barton (Utah, Titans LB), Kaden Elliss (Judge Memorial High, Falcons LB)
There are a handful of injured players who would likely make the top ten if healthy, but are left out of the rankings. This includes former BYU LB Fred Warner, former Utah CB Jaylon Johnson, and former Utah S Julian Blackmon.
Now onto the rankings.
10. Rashid Shaheed – Weber State – Seahawks WR
Shaheed was the only local to switch teams at the trade deadline. After an already productive first half of the season, the former Wildcat now moves to a more proficient offense with a more proficient quarterback.
Through nine games, Shaheed has 499 yards and two touchdowns. His career highs currently sit at 719 yards and five touchdowns.

9. Jaxson Dart – Roy & Corner Canyon High – Giants QB
Everyone, including myself, got caught up in the hype with Dart over the last two months. To be fair, it was hard not to. After starting 0-3, New York won two of its first three games with the rookie under center.
Now, the Giants have lost three straight, and the growing pains that come with a young QB have been evident.
Still, Dart has 1,175 yards passing, 251 yards rushing, 10 passing touchdowns, five rushing touchdowns, and just three picks through six starts.
8. Jaylen Warren – East High – Steelers RB
After failing to take a carry into the end zone through seven games, Warren had two rushing scores against Indianapolis last week.
He is currently on pace for a new career high in rushing yards, receiving yards, and touchdowns.
7. Dalton Kincaid – Utah – Bills TE
Kincaid’s progression in year three after a rough sophomore campaign has been very impressive.
Before 2025, the former Ute had only ever caught two touchdowns in a season, never had 100 or more yards in a game, and had a career high of 673 receiving yards.
So far this season, he already has four touchdowns, two 100-yard receiving games, and is on pace for over 800 yards for the season.
Dalton Kincaid is currently 7th in the league in receiving yards for TEs while being 23rd in targets per game by a TE

6. Garett Bolles – Utah – Broncos OL
The Denver Broncos are the best pass-blocking team and a top-ten run-blocking team in the NFL right now, and a lot of that credit is owed to Bolles.
PFF ranks the former Ute as the best pass blocker in the league and the second-best offensive tackle overall.
5. Devin Lloyd – Utah – Jaguars LB
Lloyd hasn’t seen the field in three weeks, and he is still tied for the most interceptions in the NFL. His tackling numbers have dipped, but the forced turnovers more than make up for that fall off.
Lloyd and the Jaguars confirmed that he will be good to go this week against Houston.
4. Bobby Wagner – Utah State – Commanders LB
Wagner had his fewest tackles in a game this season last week, with seven, but is still top three in the NFL overall.
Washington has struggled this season and just lost Jayden Daniels for the season, but the former Aggie has remained as consistent as ever, holding down the center of the field.
3. Jordan Love – Utah State – Packers QB
Love fell one spot in our rankings after holding the No. 2 spot for a few weeks. The argument for him was centered around being QB1 on a winning team.
That holds true, hence the top three placement, but the Packers lost to Carolina last week, and Love didn’t throw any touchdowns. It was his first game without a passing TD in 2025.
Regardless, Green Bay still sits atop the NFC North, and Love is on track to blow his 2024 numbers out of the water.

2. Penei Sewell – Desert Hills High – Lions OL
Returning to No. 2 is undoubtedly the best offensive lineman in the NFL.
PFF ranks Sewell as the best run blocker, best tackle, and overall best offensive lineman. Through eight games, he hasn’t allowed more than two hits, hurries, or pressures in any one contest.
1. Puka Nacua – BYU – Rams WR
And still at No. 1 in our rankings is former BYU wide receiver Puka Nacua.
No one in the NFL has more targets with zero drops than Nacua. Even with some time missed, he is in the top five in receiving yards and could easily break his career-high for touchdowns.
Nacua suffered a rib injury last week, but has already been a full practice participant and will play in week 10.
