SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz announced Tuesday that they’ve expanded access to the team’s game broadcasts through much of the western United States.

In a message posted on social media, owner Ryan Smith discussed the expansion of viewership access into Idaho and Montana, as well as parts of Oregon, Wyoming, and Washington.

“I’m excited to share that we are opening up more ways for you to watch Jazz games than ever before,” Smith said.

Now, fans in parts of Wyoming and Idaho can watch the KJZZ feed on the streaming service FuboTV or by subscribing to the team’s streaming service Jazz+.

Other fans in Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington will have access to Jazz games via a Root Sports Northwest subscription.

Root Sports Northwest is available via a cable subscription, on DirecTV Stream or Fubo TV.

Jazz Fans Frustrated By Late Change To Broadcasts

While many fans will welcome expanded access to Jazz games, others expressed their frustration after paying for alternate options that may no longer carry the broadcasts.

Fans outside of the KJZZ and Jazz+ reach were able to access Jazz games via NBA League Pass which ranges from $89.99 to $149.99 per season.

Those fans may now face the dilemma of having Jazz games blacked out on NBA League Pass, potentially having to pay for a second, more expensive monthly service to catch the broadcasts.

How Much Will Jazz+ Streaming Service Cost?

The Jazz will offer multiple options for fans looking to subscribe to the Jazz+ service.

A yearly subscription will cost $125.50, while fans can purchase the service on a monthly basis at a price point of $15.50. Fans looking only to purchase individual games can do so for $5 each.

The Jazz will launch a Jazz+ app on Android TV, Apple TV, Roku, and Samsung ahead of the first regular season game on October 25.

Fans can subscribe to the service now through the website at nba.com/jazz/jazzplus.
