Jazz Forward Lauri Markkanen Knocks Down Three Against Former Team

SALT LAKE CITY – Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen buried his fourth three-pointer against his former team during the opening minutes of the third quarter in Utah’s game against the Chicago Bulls.
Markkanen makes triple during Jazz-Bulls game
The Bulls hosted the Jazz at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois on Monday, November 6.
With 8:14 to play in the third quarter, Jazz rookie Keyonte George dished the ball off to Markkanen at the top of the arc. The NBA All-Star proceeded to knock down his fourth triple of the night.
Markkanen’s three-pointer cut Chicago’s lead to 77-60.

Midway through the quarter, Markkanen had 22 points on 6-12 shooting, including 4-10 from downtown. He also had two rebounds and three assists in 27 minutes of action.
Through the first seven games of the season, Markkanen is recording 23.3 points per contest on 46.3 percent shooting.

The 2-5 Jazz will travel to face the 2-5 Bulls in a battle of underperforming teams.
The Jazz are facing Chicago in the second stop of their four-game midwestern road trip.

Chicago’s guards are having their own struggles on the offensive end with Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, and Coby White all shooting below 32 percent from the three-point line.
As a team, the Bulls are shooting just 31 percent from downtown and rank second-last in the NBA in threes made per game.
Compounding the issue, the Bulls own the 23rd-ranked defense in the NBA, and the second-worst net rating at -8.8.
