Jazz Have Long Injury List Before Facing Nuggets

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz released their longest injury of the season list ahead of their nationally televised game against the Denver Nuggets.
The Jazz listed eight different players suffering from various ailments before making facing the Nuggets in the second stop of a five-game road trip.
Denver meanwhile is on the mend as the two northwest division teams prepare for their matchup.
Jazz Have Long Injury List
The outbreak of COVID across the NBA has finally reached the Jazz with veteran Joe Ingles being the first player on the roster thrown into the league’s health and safety protocols.
Ingles will need to show he’s asymptomatic and record a series of negative tests after six days before he can return to the team.
Additionally, Rudy Gobert (shoulder inflammation and non-COVID illness), Hassan Whiteside (concussion protocols), Royce O’Neale (patellar tendonitis), Bojan Bogdanovic (finger sprain), and Udoka Azubuike (ankle subluxation) are all listed as questionable.

Donovan Mitchell (low back strain) and Jordan Clarkson (low back tightness) are both listed as probable for the Jazz.
Gobert did not go through shootaround with the Jazz while Whiteside has missed the team’s last two games after entering concussion protocol against the Minnesota Timberwolves on New Year’s Eve.
The Jazz beat the New Orleans Pelicans 115-104 in the first stop of their five-game road trip.
Nuggets On The Mend
The Nuggets have been decimated by injuries this season with guard Jamal Murray still recovering from an ACL tear last season.
Michael Porter Jr. has also been ruled out for the remainder of the year as he deals with a back injury, while the rest of the roster has rotated in and out of COVID protocols.

Last week, the Nuggets opted to postpone a game against the Golden State Warriors due to a lack of available players on the roster.
Denver will see guard Monte Morris return from the COVID list after clearing protocol, while 12 different Nuggets appeared in the team’s 103-89 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Monday.
