SALT LAKE CITY – For the first time since eliminating them in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs, the Utah Jazz will host the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Jazz ousted Memphis in five games, completing the gentleman’s sweep after losing the series opener.

The Grizzlies come into Utah having lost four of their last six games, including a stunning 43 point loss on the road to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Meanwhile, the Jazz have won three straight.

Jazz Finding Shooting Stroke

After a rough stretch that saw the Jazz lose four of five games for the first time in more than a year, the team has bounced back with torrid shooting over the last three games.

Beginning with last Tuesday’s win over the Philadelphia 76ers, the Jazz are shooting 42 percent from the three-point line on 41 attempts per game while knocking down a league-best 17.3 threes per game.

That marks a significant jump from the first 13 games of the season when the Jazz were connecting on an average of just 13.3 threes per game while shooting 32 percent.

With their hot shooting in tow, the Jazz have the NBA’s second-best net rating over the last three games, outscoring their opponents by an average of 23.1 points per 100 possessions. The team also ranks second overall for the season with a net rating of 9.8.

Grizzlies Polarizing Performances

Though the Grizzlies sit at a respectable 8-8 to open the season, their performances night to night have been as inconsistent as any team in the NBA.

Memphis has been good in close games, winning five of their six contests decided by single digits.

However, they have won just three games by 10 points or more this season, and have seven losses by double-digits, including five by 20 or more.

As a result, the Grizzlies have the league’s 25th ranked net rating at -5.4 but have still managed to play .500 basketball.

Broadcast

The game between Memphis and the Jazz will tip off at 7 pm MT and can be heard on 102.7 KSL News Radio 97.5 and 1280 The Zone. The game will be televised on AT&T SportsNet and FuboTV.
