SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell continues to build his name on a national stage, this time in the political forum. Mitchell will join Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris, Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum, and Philadelphia 76ers forward Tobias Harris for a roundtable titled “ReMaking America.”

McCollum will lead the discussion which will be available on PlayersTV and Sling discussing issues facing the country. PlayersTV is the first athlete-owned media network.

Mitchell announced his place alongside Harris Sunday night on his Instagram page.

“Excited to share this with you all. Stay tuned for an amazing conversation with Senator @kamalaharris and my guys @tobiasharris  @3jmccollum #RemakingAmerica” Mitchell wrote.

The All-Star guard has been outspoken on political matters during his NBA career. Mitchell has used his platform to spread awareness about gun violence, violence towards police officers, and inequality facing the Black community.

McCollum first announced he’d be producing and hosting the “ReMaking America” series in September. The show format aims to tackle social issues like education reform while facilitating discussions with fellow athletes, politicians, community leaders, and activists.

“We are at such an important time in our country, where we are facing significant challenges; many of them centuries in the making,” McCollum said, “I am excited to bring ‘ReMaking America’ to life. We are looking to have real conversations that will hopefully drive significant change.”

The episode featuring Mitchell and Kamala Harris air Tuesday at 8:30 pm EST on PlayersTV.

In early September, the NBA announced that the majority of its franchises would work to make the arenas where league games are hosted available as polling locations for the November 3 general election.

The Jazz will make Vivint Arena, as well as several Megaplex Theater locations available to Utah voters.
