Jazz Waive Former BYU Guard Kyle Collinsworth

SALT LAKE CITY – Former BYU basketball star Kyle Collinsworth’s time with the Utah Jazz was a short one.
On Thursday, the Jazz announced they had waived the Provo native just five days after signing him to the roster.
Jazz announce they’ve waived Collinsworth and Morgan.

Along with Collinsworth, the Jazz also announced forward Juwan Morgan had been waived as well.
There is a strong possibility that both players sign with the Jazz’s G-League affiliate, Salt Lake City Stars.
Collinsworth did not play in the Jazz two preseason games this past week. Morgan appeared in both games and averaged 7.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.0 assists in 11.2 minutes per game.
The leader in triple-doubles for a career in college basketball, Collinsworth has spent four years bouncing around the NBA and NBA G-League with the Dallas Mavericks, Toronto Raptors, and now most recently the Utah Jazz organizations.
Earlier this month, Collinsworth turned 28 years old and during his professional career, he has appeared in 32 NBA games. In the G-League, Collinsworth has appeared in 84 games posting career averages of 8.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game.
