SALT LAKE CITY – The Minecraft movie has been a box office hit since its release. Now, it’s made its way to the court.
The film’s director, Jared Hess, was a special guest at the Utah Jazz’s final home game against the Thunder on Friday.

To celebrate the movie’s success, the Jazz Bear threw on a zombie mask and rode a human chicken — an homage to a viral meme from the film that has taken over social media.
Multiple videos have surfaced showing theatergoers erupting when Jack Black, who voices Steve, says the phrase “chicken jockey.”

Jazz Close Out Home Schedule Against OKC Thunder
The Utah Jazz close out their home schedule tonight with the Oklahoma City Thunder in town.
After dropping nine straight and 10 of their last 19, the Jazz ended their drought with a 133-126 overtime win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday. Still, Utah owns a 10-30 record at home and sits at 17-63 overall, tied for the worst mark in the NBA.
Meanwhile, the Thunder have been putting together an all-time regular season on the back of MVP-candidate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. At 66-14, Oklahoma City has earned the luxury of resting players ahead of the playoffs — and rest they will. Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, Chet Holmgren, Alex Caruso, Luguentz Dort, and several others are all on the Thunder’s injury report for Friday’s matchup.
This will be the fourth and final matchup between Utah and Oklahoma City this season. The Thunder has dominated the series, winning all three previous matchups by an average margin of more than 17 points.
