SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Jazz and the Thunder were in a tight contest in the first half before Oklahoma City went off in the third quarter, propelling them to a 104-90 win at Vivint Smart Home Arena.

The Jazz were down by four at halftime before the Thunder outscored them 34-21 in the third quarter to stretch the lead to 17 points. The fourth quarter was tight as well with the Jazz outscoring the Thunder 22-19.

Donovan Mitchell led the Jazz with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists on 10-25 shooting from the field and just 1-8 from downtown. Rudy Gobert added a double-double with 19 points and 17 rebounds. Bojan Bogdanovic chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds one just 4-17 shooting from the field.

As a team, the Jazz shot 8-31 from downtown, in their win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night, the Jazz made 19 three-pointers on 34 attempts. Oklahoma City had five players score in double figures led by their guards. Dennis Schroder led all scorers with 27 points off the bench, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander posted 20 points and 6 rebounds, along with 16 points and 7 assists for Chris Paul.

The Thunder made 47 percent of their field goals and 29 percent from beyond the arc. Utah struggled taking care of the ball and didn’t force a lot of turnovers. They committed 14 turnovers and Oklahoma City had just 10 turnovers.

It was not an ideal start for the Jazz as they started a stretch of playing eight teams that are below .500. They are 1-1 so far. They drop their record to 13-11 and will be on the road for a quick trip on Wednesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves, who have a 10-12 record and have lost their last four games. Tip-off on Wednesday will be at 6 p.m. on AT&T SportsNet.
