Neither of the in-state schools offered Wong until this past winter. Utah and its new offensive staff extended an offer to Wong in January, followed by BYU in February.
Wong was a highly productive wide receiver for Norco High School last season. He posted 84 receptions for 1,470 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns.
Wong has official visits scheduled with both in-state programs when the visit season heats up after Memorial Day.
The 247Sports rankings have Wong listed as the 242nd overall prospect in the class of 2027, and the 20th-ranked recruit in the state of California.
