BYU picks up a commitment from Tennessee lineman Kyle Nabrotzky

PROVO – BYU football sets off more fireworks on the recruiting trail heading into the holiday weekend.

Kyle Nabrotzky, an offensive tackle, announced on Friday his commitment to BYU.

The three-star lineman from Brentwood, Tennessee, picked BYU over Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech. He announced the commitment in a video he shared on his personal social media feeds.

“So grateful for all 33 opportunities I had to go play college football and live my dream. I ruled it down to these three amazing schools, and I’m only going to one. That school is going to be BYU. Go Cougs,” Nabrotzy said in the video.

Kyle Nabrotzky picks BYU over Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech

The addition of Nabrotzky brings BYU’s 2027 recruiting class to 12 commitments. They now have the 68th-ranked class in the 247Sports Composite team recruiting rankings.

Nabrotzky is BYU’s first offensive line commit of the 2027 cycle. An important addition for BYU after missing out on Isaiah Bertola earlier in the month to the Cal Golden Bears.

Nabrotzky plans to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints before enrolling at BYU.

BYU’s recruitment of Nabrotzky took off during the calendar year and picked up steam after an offer that included a spring visit from Nabrotzky to campus. He then took an official visit last month.
