BYU Football Teammates Give WKU Players Copy Of Book Of Mormon In Postgame

PROVO, Utah – You’ve probably seen jersey swaps after a football game, but have you ever seen players hand over scriptures during postgame handshakes? That’s what happened Saturday night after No. 11 BYU defeated Western Kentucky, 41-10.
Two BYU football players, linebacker Isaiah Kaufusi and tight end/fullback Kyle Griffitts gave a Book of Mormon to Western Kentucky players Gunner Britton and Mason Brooks after the Cougars victory.
I was fortunate to catch this priceless scene between @isaiah_kaufusi and @kgee42 giving this player from Western Kentucky a Book of Mormon after the game and sharing their testimonies of the gospel.

The Book of Mormon is a book of scripture from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that teaches about Jesus Christ. One might wonder how an exchange of holy scripture came to be. According to Griffitts, religion and the Book of Mormon were discussed during the actual game.

A special moment for members of a BYU team that has promoted “Love One Another” throughout the year as one of their team mottoes. Vanquish The Foe caught up with WKU’s Gunner Britton about the exchange, and he said, “We were just talking during the game, and I wanted to learn more of their faith,” Britton said. “They were great guys.”

BYU now gets ready to take on nationally-ranked and undefeated Boise State this Friday on the Blue Turf in Idaho.
