Pollsters Continue To Show Respect For BYU Football In Latest Top 25 Rankings

PROVO, Utah – BYU football continues to climb in the Top 25 rankings after a 17-point victory over the Houston Cougars on Friday night. With the win, BYU is now one of only four teams in college football that is currently 5-0. The others are No. 1 Clemson, SMU, and Liberty.

In the Amway Coaches Poll, BYU moved up two spots from No. 13 to No. 11 in a tie with the Miami Hurricanes from the ACC. This is BYU’s sixth consecutive week ranked week in the Top 25 polls, a record during the Independence era which dates back to 2011. It’s the highest stretch of weeks in the polls since 2007-2009 where BYU found themselves ranked in 29 consecutive ballots.
The Associated Press Top 25 poll moved BYU up two spots from No. 14 to No. 12 leaping Oregon who has yet to play a game this season.
