BYU RB Tyler Allgeier Powers Into End Zone After Big Catch By Gunner Romney

PROVO, Utah – BYU running back Tyler Allgier barreled into the end zone after a big reception by Gunner Romney set the Cougars up in the red zone against the Boise State Broncos.

The No. 10 Cougars hosted the Broncos at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah on Saturday, October 9.
With 8:15 left in the fourth quarter, BYU began a drive at its own 30-yard line.
On first down, BYU quarterback Jaren Hall aired out a deep ball to Romney. Despite a pass interference call against the Broncos, Romney came down with the ball for a 59-yard catch to move the Cougars into the red zone.

Three plays later, Allgeier powered across the goal line for a one-yard touchdown run.
It was BYU’s first score since the opening quarter of the game.

Allgeier’s run cut Boise State’s lead to 23-17 with 7:27 remaining on the clock.
The play capped a four-play, 70-yard drive that lasted only 1:00.
Following the score, Hall was 19/30 passing for 256 yards and a touchdown.
Romney had three receptions for 85 yards.
Allgeier had 19 carries for 73 yards and a touchdown.
