Wilson’s Throw Bounces Off UW Defender Into Bushman’s Arms For BYU TD

PROVO, Utah – BYU quarterback Zach Wilson threw a 7-yard pass into the endzone that bounced off a Washington defender and into the hands of Cougars’ tight end Matt Bushman.
Bushman’s TD catch was a ricochet off a Huskies defender and gave the Cougars their second touchdown of the day.
Wilson’s throw came with 2 seconds left in the 3rd quarter and made the scored 45-19 Washington.

Bushman’s catch was his sixth of the game. He had record 89 yards and score for the Cougars going into the final quarter of play.
Wilson was 23/35 for 248 yards and one touchdown heading to the 4th quarter.
The touchdown drive was set up by an interception from Cougar linebacker Max Tooley.

The interception was the first of Tooley’s career. It was also the first Washington turnover of the game.
BYU returned the pick 33 yards to set up the Wilson-Bushman connection.
