Devon Dampier Punches In Dramatic Game-Winning Touchdown Against K State

SALT LAKE CITY — Utah’s week 13 win over Kansas State wasn’t without drama. But, quarterback Devon Dampier still sealed the deal with a late rushing touchdown.
The Utes trailed by 10 six minutes before Dampier’s game-winner.

Utah’s defense put up little fight, especially against the run, for the entire game.
As a result, Kansas State led for the overwhelming majority of the game at Rice-Eccles Stadium. Running back Joe Jackson had 293 yards and three touchdowns.
That said, there were no issues with the Utes’ offense. Dampier had 259 yards passing, 94 yards rushing, and four total touchdowns.
He single-handedly kept Utah’s Big 12 and CFP hopes alive with the late rushing score.
Utah Football Closes Home Schedule Against Kansas State
The No. 12 Utah Utes football team will play one final game at home as they host the Kansas State Wildcats this afternoon.
Utah is still alive in both the Big 12 title race and the College Football Playoff. They don’t fully control their own destiny, but they must win each game in front of them to stay in contention. Meanwhile, K State has two more chances to pick up one win and become bowl eligible.
The Utes are 5-2 in conference play and 8-2 overall. The Wildcats come in at 5-5 overall and 4-3 in Big 12 play. The 2025 week 13 matchup marks the first time the programs have ever met on the football field.
