SALT LAKE CITYAny hope of a fifth season of eligibility for Dorian Singer is likely gone, so the former Utah wide receiver has entered the 2025 NFL Draft.

Singer announced his decision to enter the draft on Thursday, March 27.

“Utah–since Day 1, you welcomed me with open arms, and I will always have love for the Utes and the amazing staff the Coach Whitt has assembled,” Singer wrote. “Your support has meant the world to me, and I am proud to have represented you every time I stepped on the field.”

“With that,” Singer continued. “I am beyond excited to take the next step and officially announce that I am declaring for the 2025 NFL draft. This decision marks the beginning of a new chapter in my football career, and I am ready to give everything I have to this opportunity.”

About Dorian Singer

Formerly an All-State and All-Conference selection at Pinnacle High School in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Singer’s 889 receiving yards in 2020 was the second-most in program history. He has 37 grabs for 889 yards and 14 scores as a senior.

Singer played in 29 games between the University of Arizona and USC before transferring to Utah. He will be a senior in 2024.

Singer found the endzone six times in two seasons with the Wildcats while making 84 grabs for 1,406 yards. He averaged 16.7 yards per catch and 82.7 yards per game in 17 games with Arizona.

While at USC in 2023, Singer had 24 catches for 289 yards and three touchdowns. He also had a season-long 44-yard catch-and-run at Oregon.

Singer started all 12 games for the Utes in 2024. He posted the first 100-yard game of his Utah career when he exploded for 155 yards on nine catches against Arizona. He ended the season with 53 grabs for 702 yards and one touchdown.

Utah’s receiver room in spring ball

Utah’s receiving corps is undergoing a significant transformation heading into the 2025 season. With both returning talent and fresh faces from the transfer portal, new coach Mich Simon will be looking to establish a dynamic group of playmakers for their new-look offense.

Despite all the turnover, Utah’s receiving corps has an interesting makeup. Given their experience in the program, Caldarella, Zipperer, and Williams will help integrate the newcomers into the culture of Utah football. Meanwhile, with a year under Beck at New Mexico, Davis will help lead the group through the installation of the Xs and Os.

Coach Simon will need to develop this group, and help his guys take the necessary steps forward in their progression. Utah would greatly benefit from at least a few in this group leveling up their game.

Spring camp will be crucial in determining how these pieces come together and which players emerge as the top targets for the Utes’ quarterbacks. These five weeks of spring camp will allow Whittingham and his staff to integrate all the newcomers into Utah football’s culture.
